Four tools, one Sino account, rolling out in stages.

Why we're building four tools instead of one

Every software company eventually faces the same temptation: the product is working, users are asking for adjacent things, and the obvious move is to bolt those things on. A note-taking app grows a calendar. A chat app grows a payments tab. Five years later nobody can say what the product is for.

We decided early that Sino would not go that way. The same person needs several genuinely different things in a day (an assistant, a tutor, study material, dinner) and those deserve to be genuinely different products, each with its own front door, its own pace of development and its own definition of done.

What the umbrella actually shares

The split is not about branding. What the four tools share sits underneath: one account, one billing relationship, one design language and one set of standards for speed, restraint and privacy. What they never share is scope. Sino Recipe will not grow a chat tab. Sino Tutor will not recommend recipes.

Focus is not deciding what to build. It is deciding what each product is never allowed to become.

That discipline is easier to hold as a group than as a feature list. When a good idea lands outside a product's job, it does not get wedged in; it gets weighed as its own thing, with its own bar to clear. Most ideas do not clear it. The four that did are the ones on this site.
